ATCHISON, Kan., December 21, 2015—MGP (Nasdaq: MGPI), a leading supplier of premium distilled spirits and specialty wheat proteins and starches, has received regional distinction as a recipient of the Circle of Champions Award from Central Exchange of Kansas City. The annual award celebrates companies in the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area that have achieved at least 20% gender diversity on their board of directors.

Karen Seaberg, MGP board chairperson, and Jeannine Strandjord, board member, were present to accept the award during a recent luncheon ceremony in Kansas City.

“On behalf of our entire board and the Company, I want to express deep appreciation for the recognition MGP has been given as a recipient of this distinguished award,” Seaberg said. “To be honored in this way by such a progressive organization as Central Exchange is very meaningful.”

Formally established in 1980, Central Exchange of Kansas City provides a venue for women and men seeking to reach their full personal and professional potential.
