ATCHISON, Kan., October 11, 2016—MGP, a leading supplier of premium distilled spirits and specialty wheat proteins and starches, has announced the appointment of Greg Manis to the position of corporate director of communications.
Manis brings over 20 years of communications and marketing experience to his position at MGP. His expertise includes strategic planning, brand positioning and management, integrated marketing communications, and creative direction and production. In his new capacity, he will oversee programs and campaigns promoting the company and its products. This involves directing corporate branding, marketing communications and other external and internal communications activities, as well as community, media and internal investor relations functions.

Manis’s marketing and communications career has included serving for the past two years as director of client engagement for VML, a global, full-service digital marketing and advertising agency headquartered in Kansas City, Mo. Just prior to that, he spent nine years as director of marketing for Community America Credit Union in Kansas City.
From 1994 to 2005, Manis was employed at Coleridge Design, a former graphic design and brand agency located in Kansas City. He began there as an art director and was promoted to creative director in 1996. He was made president of the agency in 1998.
Manis has received numerous professional honors in recognition of his work. These included two national, four regional and 14 local ADY Awards from the American Advertising Federation.
Manis holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
