John Floros

John Floros, Ph.D., received his M.S. degree in Food Science and Technology from the Agricultural University of Athens, Greece, in 1983 and his Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology from the University of Georgia, in 1988. His overall research efforts in food process engineering and packaging involve the application of chemical engineering, applied mathematics, and industrial statistics to improve understanding of the many phenomena that drive food processing and packaging systems. He has taught courses in Statistical Process Control, Food Packaging, Fruit and Vegetable Processing, Aseptic Processing & Packaging, and Process Optimization Methods. He recently served as President of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT).
