Kim Lewman, Customer Service Manager

What are the job responsibilities you perform for MGP? 

I handle customer orders, inquiries, pricing and any related issues that should arise. In my position, I communicate with customers regarding their orders or availability of product and status of orders. Also, I manage the inventory and help determine products needed to be produced per the orders we receive.

How have your career and/or skills evolved at MGP? 

I began in 1982 in the Quality Assurance Lab. In 1987, I went to work in Accounts Payable and then added Accounts Receivable to my duties.  In 1991, I moved into Customer Service in the starch area.

Why did you choose employment at MGP? 

I wanted to work at MGP because my father worked here for over 40 years and my grandfather also worked here close to 45 years. I was very familiar with the Company and decided I wanted to continue this legacy.

What do you like best about working at MGP? 

I like the people I work with and the many customers whom I am fortunate to serve.

What are the most satisfying aspects of your role at MGP? 

I appreciate the respect I receive and the chance to be in a leadership role. I really enjoy the group of people that I get to work with everyday.

How have MGP’s values been reflected in your work? 

I am dependable, hard working and very persistent in getting tasks accomplished. I am loyal to co-workers and friends. I will do whatever is necessary to assist my colleagues in sustaining a collaborative work environment.

Describe the most significant or exciting challenge you have had while working for MGP. 

One of the most challenging jobs that I have the opportunity and responsibility to work on was the Company’s enterprise resource planning system. I am excited about all of the benefits that this new program provides our company.
